🎯 Bug Catching Techniques
- Sneak approach: Hold the "walk" key (default Ctrl) to move silently. Bugs are less likely to flee.
- Smoke Candles: Craftable at the campfire (requires 1 plant fiber + 1 sweet leaf). When placed on the ground, it creates a smoke cloud that prevents bugs from running away within its radius. Essential for rare bugs.
- Bait: Certain bugs (like Vampire Moth) can be lured by placing glow worms on the ground. Wait a few seconds for them to appear.
- Net upgrade: Higher tier nets (Iron, Palium) have a larger capture radius and faster swing speed, making it easier to catch fast bugs.

💡 Pro Catching Tips
- Use smoke candles liberally – They are cheap to craft and prevent bugs from fleeing.
- Run diagonally – Bugs’ movement AI is weaker at angles.
- Collect bugs during rain – Snails and some rare bugs appear only in rainy weather.
- Nighttime is best for rares – Many valuable bugs spawn only after 8 PM.
- Upgrade net to Palium asap – The larger capture radius lets you catch bugs from farther away.
