Level Up Faster with Focus

Focus is your most powerful tool for rapid skill progression. By keeping your Focus bar high and using the right foods, you can double or even triple your XP gains. This guide shows you how to maintain an optimal Focus loop, which activities yield the most XP per Focus point, and how to combine buffs for record‑breaking leveling speeds.

🧮 The Focus Multiplier

Total XP = Base XP × (1 + Current Focus %)

Where Focus % = (Current Focus / Max Focus) × 100

Example 1: Base XP = 100, Max Focus = 150, Current Focus = 120 → 80% bonus → 180 XP.
Example 2: Same base, Focus = 0 → 0% bonus → 100 XP.

The higher your Focus percentage, the more XP per action. Thus, never let Focus drop to zero if you want to level quickly.

📈 Increasing Max Focus Capacity

Your starting Focus cap is 100. Every time you increase it, the same amount of Focus points gives you a higher percentage bonus. Spend Renown at the Phoenix Shrine (Kilima Valley) to raise your cap.

Max FocusRenown Cost (total)Focus required for 80% bonusXP boost efficiency
100080 pointsBaseline
150~70120 points+50% longer sustain
200~180160 pointsDouble sustain time

💡 Priority recommendation: Spend your first 150 Renown on Focus cap upgrades before any other shrine upgrades. A larger cap means fewer interruptions to eat.

🍲 Best Foods for Focus Restoration

To keep your Focus high, you need to eat frequently. These are the most efficient foods based on Focus restored per ingredient and ease of crafting.

⚡ Which Activities Give Best XP per Focus?

Not all actions consume Focus equally. Here is the approximate Focus cost and XP gain for common actions (values are per action, with Focus = 100% bonus).

Harvesting high‑value crops and crafting furniture give the best XP per Focus point. However, for sheer volume, mining iron and fishing with glow worms are easy to sustain.

🚀 Fast Leveling Routes per Skill

🌱 Gardening

Plant the highest XP crops: tomatoes (repeat harvest) and cotton. Water twice daily. Use speed‑grow fertilizer. Mass‑produce seeds at the seed maker for bonus XP.

🎣 Fishing

Use glow worms in Bahari Bay at night to catch rare fish (Midnight Carp, Storm Eel). Each rare catch gives massive XP. Fish in groups – more fish spawn.

⛏️ Mining

Focus on iron nodes in Bahari Bay. Smelt ore into bars for additional XP. Use a pickaxe with “Rare Find” enchant to spawn extra nodes.

🏹 Hunting

Hunt Sernuk in the Kilima outskirts. Aim for headshots to kill faster. Use slowdown arrows to prevent escaping. Group hunting increases spawn rate.

🐞 Bug Catching

Catch fireflies and glow bugs at night. Use smoke candles to avoid scaring them. The Bahari beach at dusk has rare bugs.

🪑 Furniture Making

Craft the highest tier furniture you can (iron/palium). Each piece gives huge base XP. Build multiple workbenches to craft in parallel.

✨ Stackable XP Buffs

💥 Max XP scenario: 200% Focus bonus + 20% NPC boost + 50% event food = 270% extra XP. That’s 3.7x normal XP!
