🎯 Spending Renown to Increase Friendship Gains
At the Dragon Shrine (located in Kilima Valley, near the Phoenix Shrine), you can exchange Renown for permanent upgrades that directly improve how fast you build relationships.
- Friendship Bonus – Costs 50 Renown for the first upgrade, then 100, 150, up to 500. Each upgrade gives +5% friendship points from all sources (gifts, conversation, quests). Maximum +50% bonus (10 upgrades). Priority #1 for NPC leveling.
- Romance Bonus – Same cost structure, increases romance point gains. Useful after starting romance with several NPCs.
- Gift Finder – A one‑time upgrade (100 Renown) that highlights an NPC’s weekly want on the map (optional, not essential).
⚡ Daily Friendship Farming Routine
- Talk to every NPC – Each conversation gives +5 friendship points (affected by Friendship Bonus). Do this once per day.
- Give a loved gift – Use the NPC profile table to give their #1 loved item. Star quality gives +25% extra.
- Complete weekly wants – Every Monday, each NPC has 3 “weekly wanted” items. Giving a wanted item gives double friendship points (and counts as a loved gift if it's also loved).
- Cook in bulk – Celebration Cake is loved by 8 out of 9 romanceable NPCs. Mass‑produce it and use as universal gift.
- Use Renown for Friendship Bonus upgrade – The 50% cap makes a huge difference over time.
Following this routine, you can raise a single NPC from 0 to Best Friend (2500 points) in about 2–3 weeks of real time without excessive grinding.
🔄 Turning Friendship into Renown
When you reach a new friendship level (1→2, 2→3, etc.), you earn a one‑time Renown reward (usually 25–100 Renown). Also, completing an NPC’s personal quest (unlocked at friendship levels) often gives 50–200 Renown. So leveling up friendships actually generates more Renown to spend on further upgrades – a positive feedback loop.
🗺️ Fast Renown via Treasure Chests
There are over 100 treasure chests hidden across Kilima Valley and Bahari Bay. Each gives 10–50 Renown. Below are the best clusters:
- Bahari Bay Caves: 8 chests (total ~200 Renown) – bring a pickaxe and glow worms.
- Ancient Ruins (Temple of Waves area): 6 chests (150 Renown) – requires solving simple pressure plate puzzles.
- Kilima Village rooftops: 5 chests (80 Renown) – use jump boosts or build ramps.
Use an interactive map online to locate all chests quickly.
🏆 Easy Achievements for Quick Renown
- “Green Fingers” – Harvest 100 crops (50 Renown).
- “Angler” – Catch 50 fish (50 Renown).
- “Miner’s Luck” – Mine 100 ore nodes (50 Renown).
- “Social Butterfly” – Talk to all 12 NPCs in one day (100 Renown).
- “Gift Giver” – Give 100 gifts total (100 Renown).
